The surface is grounded in a deep tobacco-brown field, enlivened by shades of burnt coral, parchment, charcoal, muted blue, antique gold, and warm ivory. Intricate florals and scrolling botanical forms fill the centre, while a remarkable procession of stylised animals animates the broad border, giving the composition its distinctive and regal character.
