“I usually work in series, because only through a sequence of works can I fully develop the themes that matter to me. One example is my No Face series, where I portray well-known artists from the past and present without giving them a face.

This series responds to the spirit of our time, in which everything is compressed and streamlined. Just as news relies on abbreviations to deliver meaning quickly without losing clarity, I apply a similar approach here. I omit the faces because audiences no longer need them in order to identify the individual.”
