An intricately patterned carpet with a softly shaded slate-blue ground, decorated with stylized flowers and leafy motifs in muted teal, forest green, ivory and warm taupe. Touches of golden yellow brighten the earthy palette, while dark outlines give the individual forms a beautifully drawn quality. Completely handmade in Afghanistan by experienced artisans, it is woven from 100% natural wool sourced from Pakistan and New Zealand, chosen for its fine quality, natural resilience and ability to hold beautifully layered color.

A broad sandy border features oversized paisley motifs, creating a distinctive frame around the smaller floral details of the central field. Narrow geometric bands add definition, balancing the flowing shapes within.
